Sir Āpirana Ngata Memorial Scholarship Managed on behalf of the Māori Soldiers Trust. It's funded by the trust's major asset, Hereheretau Station, and aims to promote higher education among Māori. Open to all Māori studying at a polytechnic, wānanga, university or other tertiary institution – but preference is given to descendants of Māori who served overseas during World War I. $1000 – $3000 Applications will reopen in January 2019

Enoka Te Whanake Memorial Scholarships These scholarships are available to help whanau receive tertiary education in N.Z. • Be a shareholder or descendent of a current owner and of an original owner
• Be enrolled at a recognized NZQA tertiary institution
• Be studying full-time

Poripori Farm A Trust

Tertiary Education Grant Tertiary Education Assistance grants for those in their 2nd year of fulltime study onwards. The applicant must be an owner or descendant of an owner in Poripori Farm A Trust. In the 2017 there were 20 recipients who received a total of $11,600. 1 February – 31 March 2019
Mangatawa Papamoa Blocks Inc

Education Grants Each year the Committee makes available a percentage of the profits generated from its business activities for the education of shareholders and their descendants. Applicants must be a shareholder or a direct descendant of a current shareholder of Mangatawa Papamoa Blocks Incorporation Certificate x 4, $300 each Diploma x 1, $500 Bachelor x 11, $700 each Masters x 2, $1500 each 1st December 2018 – 22nd February 2019
Tauranga Moana Trust Board

Education Grant Must be registered as a Beneficiaries of the Tauranga Moana Maori Trust Board (TMMTB) and are defined as:
• The beneficiaries of the Board shall be the descendants of the members of those tribes who took up arms against the crown at the battles of Gate Pa and Te Ranga or which were dispossessed of any lands as a direct result of those battles.
• Be currently studying or intending to study at tertiary level – which is defined as study at any approved tertiary training institution or establishment within New Zealand.
• You must be studying full time.

Education Grant The purpose of the grant is to assist the recipients to successfully undertake tertiary studies leading to NZQA recognised qualifications. • Grants are only available to owners or direct descendants of an owner
• Only applicants studying at the tertiary level can apply
• Enrolment at a recognised tertiary institution for a recognised qualification
• The qualification should lead to a career goal which will assist the recipient to make a contribution to their community
• Evidence of probable success – the applicants last two years’ educational record and work-record where applicable
$2000 The exact number and value of each grant is to be decided by the Trustees on the recommendation of an educational consultant. Closing Date – 4pm, 14th March 2019
Tauwhao Te Ngare Trust

Horticulture Education Grants • Available to eligible shareholder applicants who enrol in a Horticulture Industry Training Programme in the Bay of Plenty.
• Eligible applicants in their second year of tertiary (or similar) study, providing the applicant can prove a successful first year of study and supply an invoice for the current year of study.

Cost of fees and any associated travel costs will be met by this Education Grant as needed, from the date of enrolment.
The Trust will fund up to 2 trainees at Diploma level, and up to 4 trainees at Certificate level, in any one financial year.
The amount of the grant will be equivalent to the cost of one paper - specific to the course of study.

Ngai Tukairangi Trust

General education grant (preference given to horticultural and trade studies) To improve the collective skill set of Ngai Tukairangi people through the pursuit and the completion of tertiary qualifications. • Applicants must be Ngai Tukairangi Trust Beneficiaries, and/or their Child, Grandchild, Great Grandchild or Great Great Grandchild
• Must be studying full time
• Academic performance
• Suitable qualification (Must be studying Diploma, Trade Certification, Bachelors Degree, Masters Degree, Doctoral Degree or a specialist area of study.
• Community, whanau, hapu and iwi involvement
• Career and Future aspirations
Variable up to $3,000 Tertiary Excellence Scholarship: $5,000 31 March 2019
